Field Notes
The below are different "case studies" showing the approach some urban areas and organizations are taking in terms of living a more connected and happier life. For example, perhaps happiness is achieved after addressing a homeless crisis through building micro villages (Austin, Texas). Or maybe a solution to the urban problem is uniting communities through the simple pleasure of walking (Bristol, England).
The purpose of these case studies is to demonstrate that if we weave a web of government action, community design, and individual participation, we can capture a higher quality of living. Through each of these case studies I will be discussing the "Hardware" (physical design) and the "Software" (internal messaging) of each element. |
